Above are vector illustrations created in Adobe Illustrator for the nonprofit media platform Skylight, accompanying the article “How Steam Heat Boilers Work.” A key challenge of this project was first understanding the boiler system in depth in order to translate a complex mechanical process into clear, accessible visuals.
